VER

Shows the command processor or operating system version.

$ ver

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17763.316]

Some version strings:

• Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17763.316] : Windows 10
• Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6000] : Windows Vista
• Microsoft Windows [Version 5.1.2600] : Windows XP

The word "version" appears localized.
